KINGSTON, Canada – A Kingston, Ontario student received a lesson in decency recently after she slapped a police horse on the backside during Queen’s University’s homecoming celebrations.

The police horse, a new recruit to the Kingston Police force named Murney, administered instant justice for the female student in a split-second interaction that was recorded and posted to Instagram, where it’s since gone viral, CTV News reports.

The video shows a young woman in a Queen’s University shirt sprint across an intersection to two police officers riding horses in a crosswalk on the other side as her friends record. She reached out and slapped one horse on the hindquarter and turned to run back before the horse booted in her right leg.

The girl was instantly knocked to the ground and appeared to smack her head in the middle of the street, but quickly scrambled to her feet as her friends laughed, hollered and gasped. A female friend attempted to help her back across the street, but the student shook her off and rejoined her group as she held her face.

According to CTV News:

Kingston Police said the horse was actually slapped three times during Queen’s homecoming. Two men and a woman were charged in connection with the slaps, police said. No one was injured.

In a series of tweets, police said the female suspect was a Queen’s student, while one male was from Algonquin College and the other was a resident of Cobourg, Ont.

The horse, Murney, is still in training and was “startled by slaps but kept her restraint,” police said.

The students are facing charges of injuring a law enforcement animal.

The female student will also undoubtedly suffer from a very large bruises, to both her leg and her ego.

The Instagram video posted by barstoolsports received more than 668,000 views in one day, as well as a lot of comments.
