CORVALLIS, Oregon – Oregon State University is apparently trying to battle racial unrest by using the old Jim Crow method – keeping white and black students segregated from each other.

The university recently spent approximately $11,500 on “social justice” retreats for students that took place in January, according to TheCollegeFix.com, which obtained the spending records through a freedom of information request.

One type of retreat – called the “Racial Aikido” retreat – was strictly for “students of color,” according to the website.

The second type of retreat, called “Examining White Identity in a Multicultural World,” was for white students only.

It was designed to give participants the chance to “examine their ‘white identity’ and ‘white privilege,’ as well as to discuss ‘strategies to dismantle oppressive systems,’” the news site reported.
