The Abilene Independent School District is now taking steps to help prevent the risk of Ebola amongst its students.
The district is placing a form in packets of new students registering in AISD that asks a number of questions to find out if any students have come from Africa, according to ABC 12.

“Any student that registers out of the district into our district will be asked four questions regarding their travel,” AISD’s director of communications, Phil Ashby, says.
Prospective students will be asked “if they traveled to any of the at-risk countries that the CDC has identified as being at risk for Ebola,” according to Ashby.
The school has a set of procedures developed by both the CDC and Hendrick Medical Center to follow.
If there’s concern, the student will be sent to the hospital.
Abilene is about 180 miles from Dallas, where two cases of Ebola have been reported so far.
