NBCChicago.com reports “Lechien and the students were pulled over on their way home from the strip club” for speeding.

While the strip club trip appears to have been a one-time event, investigators say several students have admitted to hanging out at the teacher’s home on a regular basis, where Lechien occasionally served them alcoholic beverages, reports NBCChicago.com.

School officials were unaware of Lechien’s alleged pattern of illegal behavior until they received a tip from one of his fellow teachers, reports the Huffington Post.

Lechien’s initial hearing will take place on Nov. 19.
