Illinois lawmakers may delay Common Core standards

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Illinois state Rep. Dwight Kay announced that on Wednesday he will be presenting House Resolution 543, which urges the Illinois State Board of Education to delay the implementation of Common Core Standards until a study is conducted showing the costs associated with it.
