GREENE, Iowa – While school districts can be blamed for the pitiful preparation of meals, the skimpy portions are due solely to the federal regulations championed by First Lady Michelle Obama.
Many students are continuing to turn to Twitter to expose their disgusting school lunches, with many of them using the #ThanksMichelleObama hashtag.
One student’s meal consisted of a half-scoop of apple sauce, a quarter of an orange, a carton of low-fat milk and … dog’s vomit?

Student Alex Rayonec posted a photo of what appeared to be refried beans and wrote, “I’ve seen more appetizing things on the side of the road.” She ended with “#ThanksMichelleObama.”

An Alabama school received a USDA grant to serve more fruits and vegetables, so students ate corn on the cob … during gym class.
The Hartselle Enquirer reports:
Students at Sparkman School snacked on mouth-watering roasted corn Tuesday thanks to the federally-funded Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Nutrition Program and a family-owned corn roasting business-on-wheels located in South Alabama.
Dady’s Roasted Corn from Geneva set up its mobile kitchen on the school parking lot at 8 a.m. and, despite a steady downpour, had 250 hot, buttered ears of Peaches and Cream sweet corn ready to serve in less than two hours.
Students ate the corn outside in a sheltered area during their PE classes.
Students also received an “Eat Vegetables” sticker to wear.
