MUSKEGON, Mich. – There’s hope for America. That’s the feeling derived from an answer a student gave to a “test prep” math question about the number of legs in a family.
The question reads: “Evan told his class that the people in his family have 14 legs altogether. Quinton said Evan must have 7 people in his family. Is Quinton correct? Explain why or why not.”
The student responded, “Yes, because 14 / 2 = 7 but not everyone has two legs. Go to www.woundedwarriorproject.org.”
The Wounded Warrior Project is a group that assists veterans injured in combat and their families.
