BELFAIR, Wash. – Former parent-teacher association president David Michael Navarro won’t be working with kids ever again after police found he raped an 8-year-old and horded loads of child pornography.

U.S. District Judge Benjamin Settle sentenced Navarro, 38, to 23 years in prison Monday after the former president of the Belfair Elementary PTA pleaded guilty to four child pornography charges in April, the Associated Press reports.

“The U.S. attorney’s office says Navarro was arrested in August 2013 after an international investigation traced an Internet video showing the rape of an 8-year-old child,” according to the news service.

Court documents at least one recorded rape took place at Belfair Elementary after a PTA meeting.

Navarro pleaded guilty to two charges of producing child porn, one charge of distributing the material, and one count of possession. Police found more than 700 images and 157 videos of child porn on his electronic devices, according to the AP.

School officials contend Navarro passed a criminal background check.

Navarro, who will face a lifetime of supervised release once his sentence is served, was targeted by police in Denmark after detectives culled GPS data from a video of him raping an 8-year-old in school classroom that was posted on the Internet, the Seattle Times reports.

Danish police posted the information on an Interpol site, which was used by authorities in Australia to track down an email address. FBI officials traced the email address to Navarro, and a school counselor identified the young victim.

“According to a plea agreement, Navarro produced multiple videos of himself raping and molesting a young child between November 2011 and May 2013. Some of the videos seized from a camera, a computer, his iPhone and other devices also showed a second young victim, and one video depicted Navarro engaged in sexually explicit conduct while seated next to an unidentified child on an airplane,” the Times reports.

Police also uncovered other lewd videos not involving children.

Settle didn’t pull any punches when sentenced Navarro this week, telling the pedophile “it is almost impossible to conjure up any offense more serious than what you’ve done.

“Your sentence pales in comparison to the lifetime of nightmares and psychological harm your victims will suffer,” the judge added, according to the Times.

The international investigation, however, wasn’t the first time this creep has crossed paths with law enforcement for his sexual depravity.

“The complaint mentions that Navarro was arrested in May 2009 by the San Diego county Sheriff’s Office on charges of lewd or lascivious acts with a minor, but that the charges were dismissed for lack of sufficient evidence,” the Times reports.
