SACRAMENTO – A new video produced by the California Federation of Teachers – which could be playing in your child’s classroom as we speak – drums up the typical class warfare images we’ve come to expect from Big Labor.

“Tax the Rich: An Animated Fairy Tale,” written by CFT staffer Fred Glass (2011 compensation: $139,800) and narrated by proud leftist actor (and 1 percenter) Ed Asner, advocates for higher taxes on the “rich” as the cure for government’s insatiable thirst for spending.

The video claims the rich got rich through tax cuts and tax loopholes and even tax evasion.

But when the 99 percent fought back, the “rich” apparently urinated on the “poor,” at least according to the video. What a classy way to frame your argument for children, Big Labor.

The video also claims that when the housing market crashed, the government printed money for “rich people” but they didn’t give any to “ordinary people whose houses and jobs were broken by the crash.”

That’s a patently false statement, as evidenced by a handy-dandy chart courtesy of the New York Times. Here’s a sampling of what was contained in President Obama’s $787 billion stimulus package:

– Help states prevent cuts to essential services like education – $53.6 billion

– Extend and increase unemployment compensation – $35.8 billion

– Health coverage under Cobra – $25.1 billion

– Increase food assistance – $20.9 billion

– Increase the maximum Pell Grant by $500 – $15.6 billion

– Provide cash payment to seniors, disabled veterans and other needy individuals – $14.4 billion

– Provide additional money to schools serving low-income children – $13 billion

– Provide additional money for special education – $12.2 billion

– Create new bonds for improvements in public education – $10.9 billion

And the list goes on and on.

The California Federation of Teachers’ video is little more than unsurprising leftist propaganda, aimed to indoctrinate children with no basis in fact. Do you know if your child is watching it in school?

  1. Change it to be the government instead of the rich or the union instead of the rich and the students instead of the poor and you’ll be dead on accurate.

  3. If a teacher showed that to my vulnerable child, I’d be in jail!

Back in the “Cold War” days, this was called Communist Propaganda and Disinformation. Welcome to the USSA, courtesy of the Leftist Dumbassocrat Party and their parasitic supporters.

  5. Toosin Beymen says:

I’m shocked, shocked, that the 1% and its apologists are apoplectic over this 100% accurate video. Sure it uses metaphor, money towers and all but so what. It clearly reflects our current political/economic reality.

  6. This is the type of propaganda the Nazis used against the Jews

    • Al Dorman28 says:

Relax, I know the “Education Action Group” is vile right-wing corporate propaganda, but even Kyle Olson is better than (most) Nazis!

  7. Joe says:

Es Asner is a POS, he’ll do anything for money, wonder how much in taxes he paid. By the way the housing crash was because our liberal friends insisted on giving deadbeats loans, or be fined for not.

  8. gwedem5995 says:

Well I guess since the l percent pays 40% of the taxes, if they weren’t around there wouldn’t be much money to pay these teachers for doing such terrible jobs anyway. When I hear the numbers on how much money the government could get by raising the taxes on them, I look at it this way, look how many jobs will be lost because the money people would not be able to hire more people. I say thank heavens for rich people because I was never hired by a poor person. Our revenue is not the problem, the spending is.

  9. hahn2 says:

I never imagined that the day would come when our
“teachers” would deliberately aim a cartoon propaganda video so full
of lies, vitriol, and communist doctrine directly at our children – but that
day has come. It is so sad to see that once noble profession reduced to the
level of the Bolsheviks or (dare I say it) the Nazis.

Unfortunately, this kind of diatribe is to be expected from
the video’s defective narrator; Ed Asner.
This “has been” has spent much of his life disparaging the
country and its’ leaders who have made him a multi-millionaire, which of course
places him squarely in the very group he decries – “the rich”. Asner
is the incarnation of the bitter, self-hating person. In other words, the
    perfect man for this job.

However, the real concern is with these so-called teachers
turned propagandists. What other lies are they “teaching” our children and
grand children? Can we trust them to be in the same classroom? No, we cannot.
This video is nothing short of child abuse, and must be seen as such by any
responsible person or agency who has the ability to exercise authority over
those responsible. For a teacher to produce a video of a person urinating on
another person is downright sexual abuse and need to be treated as such. Every
member of this union bears responsibility for this disgusting video, and should
be prosecuted for abuse and sexual abuse of minors, and should lose their jobs
immediately. If the school administrators don’t have the backbone to do this –
then they should lose their jobs.

country must step back from the brink, or be consumed by it. It is time we
returned America to the days of rational and responsible thought. We must put a
stop to the leftist radicalization and indoctrination of our children in
our schools. We are losing control of our kids’ minds and hearts, which
is exactly what they, and the abusers that came before them, want. Write your
school administration and your state representative about this. Put a stop to
    it – NOW!

    Sick idiots.

Liberals will go to any end to recruit the vulnerable.

  11. they are trying to indoctrinating the children to a more openly socialist.

  12. C G says:

It seems that they are so embarrassed by this video and made it private.

  13. Johnny Sands says:

I used to hear all the time from the communists on the left how the so called liberals were more educated and made more money on average compared to conservatives. So the left is basically saying it’s okay to piss on the left? Hell why not piss on Obama? He’s rich!

  14. Delbert Gue says:

That should be a picture of Obama urinating on non-muslims and whoever made this POS trash pit propaganda must have been drinking their own pee and eating their own kakka!
