NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – A Virginia teacher is on unpaid leave after allegations surfaced that she showed students before and after pictures of her breast augmentation, as well as other nude images.

NewsChannel 3 is withholding the teacher’s name because she has not been charged with a crime, but reports detectives are investigating allegations from students at Woodside High School that their teacher shared inappropriate images in March.

Three students told police the 34-year-old teacher showed students before and after photos of her boob job during class time.

“One juvenile victim additionally reported being shown nude photographs of breast and genital areas,” according to court documents obtained by the news site.

School officials put the teacher on unpaid leave after the allegations surfaced in March, and she resigned amid a human resources investigation April 17.

It wasn’t until the teacher resigned that school officials contacted Child Protective Services and the Newport News Police, NewsChannel 3 reports.

“To me that’s pornographic, it’s not okay with me at all,” Woodside parent Angela Leslie said. “I hope it’s not true.”

Court records show detectives are trying to determine the validity of the students’ claims.

A “search warrant was filed so detectives can search the teacher’s iPhone for a second time, looking at all contents including hidden, erased or password protected material,” NewsChannel 3 reports.

Newport News Police wouldn’t discuss what they’ve found on the phone, or if officials expect to file criminal charges in the case.

“You trust these people to teach your child the way that they are supposed to be learning,” Leslie said. “To hear something like this is disturbing.”

Many readers agreed, and questioned why school officials didn’t take immediate action when notified of the allegations.

“Why did the school sit on this information for a month and do their own investigation before notifying police?” commenter WHAT?? posted to NewsChannel 3. “Maybe because Woodside is the crown jewel of the (Newport News Public Schools) and they only report incidents such as these when they absolutely have to.

“Shame on you NNPS for withholding this information. The last time I checked y’all were mandated reporters of child abuse.”

Others didn’t seem to think the issue was a big deal, and instead made light of the teacher’s alleged misdeeds.

“She’s just proud of her new headlights, that’s all,” HEY … wrote.
