WASHINGTON, D.C. – Last week, Planned Parenthood Federation of America launched a 2016 election effort it calls “I Vote Planned Parenthood Action.” According to a press release by PPFA:

The I Vote Planned Parenthood Action website will detail candidates’ records on access to health care for both the presidential race and key 2016 Senate races, and will continue to expand as the Planned Parenthood Action Fund builds out its grassroots engagement. The program is also launching with grassroots forums taking place across the country, where key volunteers and supporters will come together to discuss a policy agenda and make plans for holding politicians accountable. While taking place nationwide, the forums will engage voters in key locations—including Nevada, Iowa, New Hampshire, Ohio, Florida and Wisconsin—alongside communities of color and LGBTQ communities.

The launch also includes a video from Planned Parenthood Action Fund president Cecile Richards and an ad buy targeting both national outlets and key states, such as New Hampshire, Nevada, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Ohio.

CNN Politics reported that Planned Parenthood says it will spend $20 million on this campaign that, in reality, has just one objective: To focus on the White House and Senate races to assure enough of its supporters that its taxpayer funding of over $500 million a year is protected.

Planned Parenthood is rightly worried about taxpayer funding. It knows that there have been votes in the House and Senate this year and the majority of both chambers has voted to stop all of its taxpayer funding. Only the total support of President Obama has kept the organization from losing that money.

There are many who attribute Obama’s support of Planned Parenthood to the fact that the organization spent millions of dollars getting him elected twice. Clearly Planned Parenthood, having bought politicians’ votes through campaign contributions, plans on doing it again.

It is absolutely incredible that Planned Parenthood publicly proclaims its intention to buy politicians in the upcoming elections, while leaders of Christian churches remain silent for fear of losing tax-exempt status.
