GUSTINE, Texas – Parents are crying foul after an elementary school forced about two dozen kids to drop trou in class in an attempt to apprehend a serial floor pooper.

“I felt uncomfortable, and I didn’t want to do it,” 11-year-old Eliza Medina tells WFAA. “I felt like they violated my privacy.”

The news station characterized the incident by saying “students partially strip searched.”

According to the student, she and a number of her classmates were “rounded up” and taken to separate rooms based on gender.

She says they were then told “to pull down their pants to check them to see if they could find anything.”

Eliza resisted but gave in to the peeping school employees.

“I said I didn’t want to, but I was told I had to because all the kids had to.”

Gustine Independent School District Superintendent Ken Baugh tells the news station that making kids drop their pants goes too far.

“That’s not appropriate, and we do not condone that. So you would take disciplinary action.”

But he says his investigation reveals students were told to lower their pants “just a little.”

Medina says it was farther than that, “Like… to where your butt is.”

The student’s mother wasn’t happy when she heard about what happened.

“I was furious… I mean, I was furious,” Maria Medina says. “If you can’t do your job or you don’t know what you’re doing, you need to be fired. You shouldn’t be here.”

She says she was told it happened because school employees “have been finding poop on the gym floor.”

Parents are planning to attend the school board meeting tonight to give school leaders a piece of their mind.

“Maybe we can find a much better way to solve this,” Superintendent Baugh tells the news station.

The violation of the students’ privacy apparently didn’t identify a culprit.
