DETROIT – A 39-year-old mother died while filming her daughter’s school concert.

TeQuoia Alexander was attending the annual show at Detroit’s Mumford High School on Tuesday with her grandmother sitting by her side.

“When Naya did her part, I nudged her and said ‘Tasha, listen at our baby sing!’ and she didn’t comment. So I turned and looked at her and she had this funny look and I said ‘Tasha! Tasha!’ and her head went back and that was it,” Rose Peterson tells WWJ.

“I started screaming and I really lost it.”

Alexander collapsed to the floor as stunned onlookers hurried to help.

But it was too late. She was pronounced head at the hospital.

The rest of the concert was canceled.

The results of the woman’s autopsy have not been released. It will take two weeks for toxicology reports.
