INDIANAPOLIS – “Hanoi Jane” Fonda, who so famously defended our Communist enemies during the Vietnam War, apparently has an ally in Indiana State Superintendent Glenda Ritz.

Ritz’s office tweeted an “inspirational” quote from Ho Chi Minh, the deceased Vietnamese Communist ruler, last week.

“’To reap a return in ten years, plant trees. To reap a return in 100, cultivate the people,” read the tweet from @EducateIN, noting Ho Chi Minh as the source, according to the Indy Star.

“Huh” was the response from the Indiana Democratic Party, according to the paper.

A spokesman for Ritz said the inspirational quote was “accidentally” scheduled to be posted. The superintendent deleted it soon after, but it’s saved here for posterity:

In the meantime, we can only wonder if the Democratic leader of Indiana’s public schools really views a Communist dictator as an inspiration, particularly knowing that thousands of Americans died trying to liberate the Vietnamese people from his totalitarian regime.

Ritz does know that, doesn’t she?
