SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Illinois anticipates at least two more episodes of “The Driving Dead” online web series, but that’s just part of a $2.5 million contract with a marketing company.

Two episodes of a zombie-themed public service announcement have already been released through YouTube with total view counts a couple hundred thousand shy of one-million.

Arthur Agency, Inc., got the contract utilizing federal pass-through money from the Illinois Department of Transportation.

The contract from October 2010 is for more than two-point-five-million dollars with possible renewal every three years.

The Illinois Department of Transportation says each “Driving Dead” episode cost $142,000.

“The Driving Dead” is one of the many concepts the company has produced for the state. Arthur Agency also makes commercials for the holiday enforcement periods.
