FAIRFAX, Calif. – Officials at White Hill Middle School in Fairfax, California refuse to name a teacher who allegedly projected pornography in a classroom full of students.

Police were called to the school last Thursday after a teacher on lunch break inadvertently left his computer connected to an Apple TV unit and projected pornography on a screen in a classroom where 13 students were working on a project, the Marin Independent Journal reports.

Police told the news site there was no evidence of a crime, and the teacher quickly shut down the show when he realized what was going on. Regardless, school officials said they plan to investigate the incident further to “piece together what exactly happened,” according to an email from White Hill principal David Finnane to the news site.

“I deeply and sincerely regret this situation occurred and please know this matter has our full attention,” Finnane wrote. He said officials plan to meet with school staff to “manage rumors” but did not release the offending teacher’s name.

District superintendent Rick Bagley refused to comment on the situation at all, the Journal reports.

Police Chief Christopher Morin told the news site he may review the case again depending on what the school investigation reveals.

The alleged porn screening is just the latest incident involving teachers corrupting students at White Hill, and follows the arrest of 23-year-old instructional aide Dillon Sabia, who stands accused of bringing a 14-year-old to his apartment to smoke pot and play video games, according to the Journal.

Sabia faces a felony charge of distributing marijuana to a minor and a misdemeanor for misconduct with a child. White Hill school officials placed Sabia on administrative leave after he was arrested last week at Brookside Elementary School, where he also worked, though his attorney contends the charges are based on false accusations, the news site reports.

“Mr. Sabia is innocent, and it’s a shame this young kid is being stained with this accusation,” David Vogelstein, Sabia’s lawyer, told the Journal.

The alleged pot smoking occurred after the student noticed Sabia’s eyes were red and asked him about it.

“When the boy asked Sabia about his eyes, he allegedly said he was ‘cross faded,’ or hung over from alcohol and drugs, according to an arrest warrant affidavit filed by Deputy District Attorney Nicole Pantaleo,” the news site reports.

The student alleges Sabia told him he had more marijuana in his car and offered to smoke it with him. The victim told police the two went to his Mill Valley apartment, smoked a joint and played video games for several hours before the instructional aide dropped him off near his home.

The student alleges that Sabia – a 6-foot-5 former basketball star – approached him about a month later and made sexual comments while groping his crotch.

Police allege Sabia later admitted to smoking marijuana with the teen, but denied the sexual advances, the Journal reports.
