SUGAR GROVE, Ill. – State Senator Jim Oberweis, who is challenging Democrat U.S. Senator Dick Durbin, released a new radio ad Thursday linking Dick Durbin’s use of the IRS to intimidate conservative organizations and politicians to the late President Richard Nixon’s similar IRS intimidation.
The ad is one question after another about Durbin and the IRS scandal, starting with: “Did you know Article II, Section 1 of the impeachment of Dick Nixon was for using the IRS against political enemies?”
Oberweis then says “It was wrong when Dick Nixon did it and it was wrong when Dick Durbin does it.”
