SAN LEANDRO, Calif. – A California high school teacher has been arrested and charged with having a year-long sexual affair with a student.

Leon Chang, 27, had been a math teacher at San Leandro High School for six years. His alleged relationship was with a student who is currently a senior, but was a junior when it began, according to a report in the New York Daily News.

The situation was uncovered by another teacher in the school who caught Chang and the student “in the act,” the news report said.
