NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. – Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal told a crowd of his constituents at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) what he believes their priorities should be going forward. Repealing Common Core Standards was among his desired goals for America.

“We need to remove Common Core from every classroom in America,” Jindal said in his CPAC speech on February 26.

The governor also touched on the importance of school choice.

“We’re an aspirational society. We believe the circumstances of your birth don’t determine your outcomes as an adult,” Jindal said.

Jindal said school choice is a fundamental American value.

“You shouldn’t have to be born to wealthy parents or the right zip code to do great things in our country,” he said.
