Vinita Hegwood is an English teacher at Duncanville High School in the Duncanville Independent School District.

According to her school biography, she also teaches “health science.”

Over the weekend, she engaged in several foul-mouthed rants on the social media site, finally urging “crackers” to “kill themselves” if they didn’t like her opinions about the events in Ferguson, according to BizPacReview.com.

Duncanville High has not confirmed the teacher’s name or status at the school, according to the news site.

“Several months ago, Vinita L. Hegwood bragged about playing her car muslc ‘loud’ as a cop was following her. The song? ‘Fuck the Police,'” the site FireAndreaMitchell.com reports.

The teacher even posted a photo of her satellite radio screen with the song title to Instagram. Trying to cover her tracks there, too, she deleted that account as well.

But it wasn’t enough for savvy citizen journalists to find the evidence of the tirade the teacher engaged in.

Others took to social media to urge their followers to contact the school and ask what they’re going to do about having someone stoking racial hatred on the payroll.

Twitter user @drmom47 notes Texas doesn’t have teachers unions to protect Hegwood, only teacher “associations.”

UPDATE: “As an individual, Ms. Vinita Hegwood expressed an opinion on social media that is solely her own. She used her personal social media account to make remarks that are offensive. While everyone has the right to free speech, as a teacher in the district, we believe the comments that are alleged to be made by Ms. Hegwood are absolutely reprehensible and we do not condone it,” the district says, according to the Dallas News.

The district promised “swift action,” but did not elaborate.

UPDATE II: Fox News reports Hegwood “is being fired,” citing school officials.
