QUEENS, N.Y. – A former football player who worked as a physical education teacher in Queens’ P.S. 330 elementary school was brutally assaulted at school last spring.

The injuries to John Webster’s meniscus in his right knee and ligament in his right ankle are so bad he hasn’t been able to return to work since the incident occurred, the New York Post reports.

The assailant – 50-pound, six-year-old Rodrigo Carpio – is still at large.

Webster, a burly 27-year-old former football player at Morrisville State College, is now planning to sue the New York City Department of Education for his medical expenses and unspecified damages stemming from the traumatic incident, according to the Post.

“(Rodrigo) looks like an angel, but then, all of a sudden, that halo turns into horns. It’s been a nightmare. It’s embarrassing. It’s humiliating,” Webster said.

Webster’s lawyer calls Carpio a “tiny terror.”

The laid-up PE teacher claims P.S. 330 school officials were aware of Rodrigo’s propensity for violent outbursts and failed to protect Webster. The “tiny terror” had a history of assaulting other students and teachers, Webster’s attorney, Andrew Siben, told the Daily Mail.

The alleged assault “started when (Webster) was chaperoning Carpio and a group of students to the school cafeteria and the boy began horsing around.

“When the student wouldn’t calm down, the teacher tried to restrain him but the boy fought back, biting and kicking his teacher, Webster claims,” according to the Daily Mail.

A school report states Carpio also attacked a school principal and safety officer.

Carpio’s father, Jorge, called the lawsuit “totally absurd,” the Post reports.

“How could my little boy do so much damage? My poor little son,” Jorge said.
